Hi Everyone! I had posted this earlier on Monday, and I had a follow-up question. Here's what I posted on Monday:
"I am new too charting (this morning was morning #4), and my temps have been pretty consistant, Fri 97.0, Sat 96.9, Sun 96.8, Mon 96.8. Is this normal to have a BBT in the 96 deg range? I did start charting about 2 weeks ago, in the middle of my cycle. Could that be causing the consistant temps? I've been monitoring my CM and from what i've been reading I did have EWCM on Friday, and again on Sunday! Do I need to really give charting a full cycle?

Any advice would be helpful!

Thanks ladies! Hope everyone enjoys their Monday!!"

Here is today's follow-up question:
Ok, so as an update to the above question I asked the other day. Tuesday temp was again 96.8, and when I tested this morning It was 95.27!! Is there something wrong? That just seems like a huge decline overnight. AF isn;t due for another 12-14 days! I've read a couple things about sleeping with your mouth open...what does this affect? I did wake up this morning with a sore throat, and it felt pretty dry, maybe I was sleeping with my mouth open. Would this of caused that much of a drop?

Thanks for all your help ladies! I always know where to come if I need a little advice!

Hi.I haven't seen your chart and I don't know fahrenheit... but if your AF isn't due for about 2 weeks, isn't it possible that the decline was your ovulation dip? Other than that, maybe it was from sleeping with your mouth open.. that can make a difference too.

Hi there! Yes, sleeping with your mouth open makes a BIG difference in your temperature. If you've ever noticed that after not speaking or anything for some time that when you do breathe through your mouth or drink something cold that it's colder than normal, you can relate this to temping. If your mouth has been closed for a few hours, it's going to be warmer than if you've had it open, breathing cold air through it. (Even if you keep it warm in your home, that air is still colder than your body temp.)

Mouth breathing is why I started temping vaginally. (You have to start this at the beginning of a new cycle though.) I have allergies and often times breathe through my mouth. Vaginal temping gives you a much more accurate temp.

Under normal circumstances, I would say that a dip in your chart like that would indicate that you are about to O, but since you had your mouth open, that's very likely the cause for it. Btw, do you have a link to your chart somewhere?? I can't find it anywhere but may be overlooking it.

i am trying to see your chart but it is linking to just a ticker. When was your tuesday temp taken? I just wonder because you talk about the drop overnight. If that temp was at night then usually your BBT is lower than during the day temps

I got the ticker too. If you go to Sharing --> Home Page Setup, you can then copy and paste the link that shows up there under Your Charting Home Page Web Address:.

Carrie, I might be wrong, but I'm thinking she means overnight as in one day to the next. ???

How's it coming getting the link to that chart up?

Just from reading these 2 questions from the last 2 days... I need to see your chart to try and figure out what's going on.
