I have been curious about this for a while and I would like to know is there any real differnce between a basal temp and regular temp? When I did chart my basal in my first marriage I always took my regular temp right afterwards and it was usually the same.
The only thing that I can figure is the only difference is that basal thermometer is more sensitive than a regular thermometer.

That's correct. A fever thermometer isn't as sensitive, so it doesn't detect the smaller fluctuations.
