My LP shrank to 10 days this cycle. "Normal" for me was 11-12 days. Looks like I might have a tiny problem. So, I'd like to give b6 a shot but don't know where to start. I have read here once you are supposed to take it along with another vitamin complex? I can't remember when/where I saw the post though.

Also, for those of you who have a LP defect, did b6 work for you? My 7DPO bw came back normal a couple of months ago, so I wonder if I am just borderline?? Not really normal, but not yet "defective"???? I also suspected I had a CP in October which also makes sense if I have a small problem with the short LP. Whadya think?

I've had a short LP, 10 and 11 days, so this month I started taking B6, but not till CD13 this cycle. So I don't know how long it takes to work. I am on DPO9, usually have a drop on DPO10 and then get AF, so we'll see what tomorrow's temp does.

I'm glad you asked this question and I look forward to reading the responses.

My LP was normal but i had a chemical last month and someone on the board suggested i try it. Ive been taking a 10mg tablet and then a B complex one (it only contains 2mg of b6) and zinc also from my af until now.
I thought it can only help i supose. I noticed the vitamins you take when pregnant have vitamin b6 in (10mg) so i thought if i get pregnant i can just swap onto them.

before i had DS i had a 9 day LP and had a chemical pregnancy because of it.

I started taking 1 b6 pill once a day and got a bfp the next month on cd11 or 12.

I saw try it. It really helped me. When I started TTC this time I just started it with my prenatal and folic acid

I had 5, 7 & 9 day LPs in the past. My 9 day LP was in May, that's when I started taking 100 mg of B6 every day.

Since then, my LP is at least 12 days, every month.

HTH!

I started taking it the cycle I got pregnant so it's definitely worth a shot! I took 100 mg per day.

One more question about the b6. Will I find it at the grocery store or do I need to look at a speciality store? I can't wait to go get some and start taking it!!! Thanks girls

When TTC #1, I had an 11 day luteal phase the first cycle that I charted. I started takin 50 mg of B6 the next cycle and got my BFP that cycle.
This time around, I'm taking B6 and still have an 11 day LP, but I've only had 2 full post-partum cycles, so my body is still getting back to "normal"

Inow take a B-complex that includes 100mg of B6. I read somewhere that you should take equal amounts of all the B vitamins to avoid taking too much of one and causing a deficiency in the others. I just get mine at Walmart.
