Hi everyone

DH and I just started ttc #2 this month and I'm also coming off of birth control pills. I decided to chart to get an idea of what my body is doing to gain a little knowledge along the way since I would like to learn nfp after #2, the pills just really did a number on me and I can't do that again. Our first child is named Jacob and he's coming up way too fast on 11 months old. He was a St. Patty's day baby!

My quick question is about fertility friend. I started charting symptoms/cp/cm on FF after my last AF because I hadn't gotten a basal thermometer yet but wanted to tinker with the site. I got a thermometer two days ago and have entered two temps. Anyway, FF has a projected day for AF (26th, puts me at a 31 day cycle which sounds about right) but even after a few days straight of high/soft/open, ewcm and several O symptoms its not marking any possible fertile days or anything like that. I'm just curious if FF will mark any of that stuff without temps? Guess its just something I'm curious about. Not expecting much out of this first month.

Thanks!

I think if you're hoping to learn NFP later, why not learn it now? It can be used for both TTC and TTA. FF will only give you the basics you need for TTC, but not all the in depth information you'll need to understand NFP. Are you interested in taking an NFP class for TTC?

Carrie- A link to my chart should be in my siggy now. I've only been entering temps for two days now, everything else is going to just be cp/cm and symptoms. I was just curious if FF would predict a fertile time for me or not. I've looked at JM's ovulation calendar just out of curiosity and it pinpointed this week as being my fertile time and I think it pinpointed the 16th as probably ovulation.

Shawna- I never really thought to learn NFP for ttc. May as well learn it now, definitely wouldn't hurt anything.

Definitely wouldn't hurt! I teach NFP in my city and a good 50% of the clients come to learn for TTC.

Shawna- Is there a website I can go to to find a class in my area? The church my family goes to does recommendations, but I think a recommendation from someone who teaches the class would be better. Aren't there a few different methods as well?

Hi Shell . Lol we'll figure it out!

Welcome! I'm also ttc # 2.

When I check out your chart I just see a ticker.

Yes, there are several different methods to choose from. If you pop over to the NFP/FAM board - under the Online Resources Sticky is a list of all the NFP methods and how to find a teacher. You can just search your area that way. There are also online and home study courses available for some NFP methods. Let me know if you have any trouble tracking down a class.

Bah... I'll try to fix that

Thanks Shawna, I'll look into that.

Edit- Okay I think this will work. I did't publish a chart and that's why it wasn't showing anything other than the ticker.

Hi Caelen,
Do you have VIP membership or the basic? The basic won't predict fertile days. But if you get a positive OPK FF will tell you the range of days when you might O, but that's about it...
