Hi Ladies! I'm new here and was hoping you would be able to help me out. I'm so sorry if some of these questions are stupid, I have never done fertility charting before.

I'm trying to talk my husband into TTC. At first he was saying 5 years, now he is saying a year or 2, but I'm trying to make it sooner.

Anyways, how do I go about doing my chart? I have always had irregular periods, so I'm sure that would make it harder?

Thanks in advance, I'm really trying to learn. And again, sorry for the stupid questions!

They are not stupid questions. I would create an account at Fertility Friend.com. There is a step by step tutorial on how to chart. It's great. I am relatively new hear (2 months) but the ladies here are extremely knowledgable and helpful.
Good luck.

Christy

i'm Kelly it is nice to meet you..also you might want to pick up a bbt so you can keep track of your basal body temperature..it really helps with detecting when you are going to o etc..and no question is too stupid hun..i am fairly new to charting myself and ask questions all the time lol..

Hi Kelly, thank you!

My only concern is the chart is asking for the average length between cycles and it really varies with me. The last day of my period was Jan 2nd and no sign of it yet. I tried to give the best answer, so I'm hoping that doesn't throw off anything.

It doesn't really matter about the avg. cycle length. As you go through the months (hopefully not many) it keeps track for you. I would buy a BBt and take your temp each morning at the same time, note your CM, and CP. If you want to get high tech you could order some ovulation predictors from earlypregnancy.com to help you pin point O. Do you ever feel O symptoms? I wouldn't get too worked up about all this. Another solution would be BD everyother day or so and see what happens!!! Good luck...welcome to the most fun, sometimes frustrations, but definitely the most exciting phases of your life!!!!
I have been blessed with TTC. We got a BFP with our first 2 on the first try and the 3rd on our second try. We did not chart, or anything. We just BD everyother day from the time my period ended...... sounds so easy!!!

Good luck.

Welcome to the board. This is my first month charting. It helps so much with the 2 week wait! Its quite easy using fertility friend once you get the hang of it. They have free lessons that you can have E mailed to you. Everyone is so nice here and really helpful, so dont ever feel like any question is stupid or too much. Good luck and im looking forward to getting to know you.

Hi and welcome I am Carrie one of the hosts of the baord.

No question is stupid. The general information questions on FF are to try to set up some guidelines until they have enough real life information from you to base it more on your cycles.

Just start by temping every morning at the same time before you get out of bed and maybe read up on how to check your cervial mucus. There are tips on that in the subforum here and on FF!

Sarah, the online calendar you're using to chart, does it tell you when you should be fertile without you putting temps in?
