Hi ladies. I'm Amy, fairly new but have been posting to TTC after a loss and TTC a specific gender.

I had decided in Jan to start charting...for two reasons, to hopefully get pregnant in the fall when we were going to start trying as opposed to not trying and not preventing. And, we also decided to try to sway pink.

But, we went ahead and tried when I noticed some fertility signs...so I'm sort of waiting to test. BUT, i have started spotting already (I have very short cycles), so I'm 99% sure I'm not pregnant this month.

Anyway, I joined FertilityFriend.com...and I'm trying to learn to chart. So far I find it all very confusing. But, I remembered you all were here. I'm going to go to your "charting school" posts and try and learn more.

I'd really like to find some friends in my boat...learning to chart and doing it regularly. I've been down since my m/c in the fall, and even more bummed now that I'm pretty sure we aren't getting our BFP later this week. Maybe by focusing on this it'll keep my thoughts more positive.

I hope to get to know you all.

Welcome! I'm Lisa and I'm on my 8th cycle charting. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I also had a loss last September...it stinks. If you have any questions, definitely ask them! There are a lot of really knowledgeable ladies here!

Hey Amy, good to see you on this board! Ive seen you and spoken to you on the ttc specific gender and im a member on the ttc after loss board too. I think charting definately helps through the 2ww. It seems to go quicker. Fingers crossed for your BFP really soon!
I dont know about you but im finding it hard to sway pink when i know its less likely that i will get pregnant leaving O day out!!

Hi Lisa! Thanks.

Hey Shell...yes, I think that's why we went ahead and tried this month. Ever since our loss I REALLY just want another baby. My husband badly wants a girl...so on the one hand I'd like to try for him. BUT I hate to think of how long it may take by leaving out O day. And I recognize you from both boards too.

Hi and
I am Carrie, one of the hosts of the board. I am DH and I have a 15 month old DS named Lawrence and I got my BFP last week after charting for 2 months.

Hopefully the charting school posts help. Also fertility friend has something of a school that teaches you how to use their site.

The idea is that you take your temp every morning as soon as you wake up but it needs to be as close to the same time everyday and after 3 hours of sleep. Dont worry if you wake up early or sleep in a few times. just enter your temps as what they are and be accurate on the time that you took them. If there is enough of a difference you will get an open circle and still be able to predict your O day
