I know your temp is supposed to go up by about half a degree, but my question is, is there a certain temp it must go past in order to let you know you've ovulated? I had a fever on the 23-25th while charting, so FF is excluding those three days, and I had a dip the past couple of days, with 2 positive OPKs and now I'm back up, but only to 97.1 Should I wait until tomorrow to see if it goes up again/stays up? The OPK was neg today and I've had some ovulation pain so I'm fairly certain I ovulated, but I'm concerned my illness from the prior week may have thrown off everything.
Here's my chart: 1a106f Ovulation Charts
Thanks guys!

Its early, but I think you might have Ovulated late mo/early tuesday. A thermal shift will help tell for sure. I think you had a good O dip though. I had one like that a cycle or so ago.

i agree you should get it for the 1st or 2nd in another 2-3 days. they need that many days to confirm a thermal shift

I guess I'll be the odd duck here and say I am not certain that you O'd last night.
While your temp did increase today... I'm not finding it to be a large enough increase to qualify as a Thermal Shift yet.
That being said... it is indeed possible that you may have O'd yesterday and are experiencing a Slow Rise... meaning that your Thermal Shift may come in a number of smaller steps over a number of days.
Since this is the only chart you have on FF, I can't compare to previous charts to see what your particular pattern may be. Sadly, there's nothing for it but time. My best advice to you would be to continue BD'ing until you see a clear shift followed by at least 3 consecutive high temps.
At the very least... it gives your more opportunities to catch your egg!
Best of Luck & Baby

Ok. Temp shot up this morning .4 degrees or thereabouts, and I know that I need 3 days before FF will give me a line, but once it does, how does one calculate Days Past Ovulation? Is it when FF puts the line, which I'm thinking would be the day after (or the day of) the dip, prior to the 3 days of heightened temps? I've tried reading up but I'm a little flustered with conflicting info.

Now THAT'S a shift!!!
As for calculating DPO... yeah, once FF is satisfied with the higher temps, it will give you your CHs (cross hairs) O day is like Day Zero and then you count each day after that.
