I'm gonna go buy a BBT today and Im clueless on what to do. I know you should chart your temperatures daily and take it every morning as soon as you wake up, preferrably close to the same time daily. Thats about the extent to what I know! Are they all just the same(type of BBT that is)? When's a good time to start? I'm sooo clueless. Sorry if Im repetitive of other stuff on this board. I just found this website yesterday so I'm trying to digest it all!

Hi there and welcome to Just Mommies! You're right, you need to take your temp every morning at the same time, before you get out of bed. There are different BBTs, but you want one that measures temps to two decimal places. You can find them at walmart, target. Just don't get one from Walgreens, they have proven to not work well. I have one from walmart and it works fine. You can start any time you want, but it's probably best to start at the start of your cycle. Most of us here use Fertility Friend account to keep track of our temps, so you'd need to open an account there, if you haven't already. You will be looking for a shift in the temperature. You'll get a hang of it after couple of cycles. I'm not sure what else to say, but if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. We are all here to help. Good luck
