How many months will you (or did you) wait until you met with your DR. to discuss not getting pregnant/ttc?

I'm making an appointment for sometime late next week, but not so much to discuss not getting pregnant as to discuss the weird post-ovulatory pain I've been having. I'm worried it could be endometriosis or something and that it could be the reason I'm not getting pregnant. But I'd probably be getting that checked out even if we weren't TTC. I'll go back in once it has been 6 cycles of TTC with no luck. I went in after 6 months when TTC #1. My doctor looked at my charts, ordered a progesterone test, and I was blessed to get pregnant within about a week of that appointment so I never had to have anymore testing done.

It took me 6 months of charting... about 15 months total of having regular, unprotected sex with DH before I mentioned it to my doc. I figured something would have happened by now, so I brought it up during one of my yearly exams, and she suggested some easy testing to rule out initial problems. I love that she is willing to work with me even though we've only been officially trying hard for about 7 cycles.

I made an early apt to discuss TTC at 3 months, but I won't make another apt. to get help unless we make it to the year mark.

I going to bring it up and my yearly appointment at the beginning of April if we aren't pregnant this month. We've been actively ttc for 10 cycles (charting for 9 cycles). My appt. is with a nurse practitioner who isn't necessarily the nicest...so I'm not really anxious to hear what she has to say...I don't feel as if she'll be sympathetic at all. I'm guessing she'll say "you have to wait a year" and that will be that.

I hope your appt. goes ok & she doesnt make you continue to wait a few more months...your chart is looking GREAT this cycle by the way
