Hi! My name is Jax. I posted on here a looooooooooooooooooong time ago.

I started charting in '07 which is how I found out I have PCOS and Hashimoto's. Charting sucked because my cycles are so long, so I gave up. I recently took it back up, just to see what's going on. The last time I charted, the hubs would actually temp me, so I did no moving at all. This time around, I'm trying to temp myself, and this is my question.

How much moving around in the morning is too much? Sometimes I inadvertently stretch some while I'm reaching over for my thermometer. I'm worried that even rolling over is too much and that I'm somehow affecting my temps. Should I have the hubs start temping me again to make sure I'm accurate? Is there anything else I should know?

Thanks!

Yeh that is what I assumed she meant. You know a hubby, hubster, hubs...

Hey Jacalyn! Good to see you over here. I think you are worrying way too much about how much you move. As long as you aren't getting out of bed you should be fine. Are you temping orally or vaginally? You may want to try temping vaginally. Some girls have found their charts are much easier to read when they temp vaginally.

Yeah. I'm kind of weird about my verbage. I don't like the word 'hubby' so I call him my hubs.

I am temping orally. I don't know how I feel about vaginally. I probably WOULD move too much then So I guess my temps are accurate and they're just back to their old, evil ways. I think PCOS is what's screwing with my temps, but the Hashi's doesn't help either.

Thanks for the help (BTW, Patty, I check AIP every time I'm on here to see how you're going I can't wait for your BFP!)

Back!!! It's so good to hear from you again. Sorry about the PCOS & Hashimoto's. I can see how both of those conditions could make charting a challenge, but I do hope you'll give it another shot. Hopefully this time will be better. I've got myself a bit of PCOS as well, so I'm with ya.

Now, as for your actual question... everyone does a touch of moving around just to get to their BBT. But like Patty said, as long as you are staying in the bed, not walking around, not talking, not going to pee or any of that... the tiny bit of movement will be just fine.

I know one of my JM girls used to keep her BBT under her pillow. I keep mine along with my Preseed, applicators and Instead cups in a basket on my nightstand. My moving around to get mine has never caused a problem with my temps... so I think you're just fine!

Best of Luck & Baby

Welcome back!

All I do is turnover on my side and reach for the bbt on my nightstand and it hasn't effected my temps.
