When people on other TTC forums DON'T chart?
When I see people who have been TTC for months and months (or even just starting) and have no idea what is going on with their cycles, I just want to tell them to CHART, for pete's sake! It might not help you get pregnant but at least you'll have a clue when you ovulate, how long your luteal phase is, or if there might be a problem.

People whose AF is "10 days late" and they still have a BFN? I just want to say, "Sorry, honey. But your period isn't late. You just ovulated later. If you were only charting you would know this."

Forgive me. I'm in a mood.

Yup I'm so with you ladies on this one! I have PCOS and my longest cycle was 70 days, can you imagine how much money I would have spent on HPT's if I didn't know that I hadn't even O'd that cycle?? And so many women assume you O 2 weeks after your period, even some friends IRL that have had kids and are ttc again with a bit of difficulty don't get that you O 2 weeks before your next AF and their cycles are over 30 days and can't figure out why they're not pg when they're timing everything around CD14 rather than maybe CD18.

You learn so much about yourself and helpful to your doctor see too, I mean you could have a 28 day cycle but maybe you're O'ing late and have a very short LP so no beanie could stick!

Ug, yah, I wish we could convince everyone to chart!

It doesn't aggravate me when people don't chart but it does bug me when people don't have the fundamentals of how their bodies work. As long as they know that their o date could be off and that could be why they are late I don't really care if they chart. But, yeh I see a lot of what you are talking about. I just think not everyone is interested in charting.

What bugs me even more is people that don't have sex and then wonder why they aren't getting pregnant! The other day I was skimming someone's infertility blog I found on Google. Well she had tons of charts on there where they had sex like maybe three two or three times a month. I do not consider that infertility. Of course you aren't going to get pregnant.

Now when I see someone who does everything right month after month I feel totally differently. But, I really don't think you HAVE to chart to get pregnant. I did not chart with my kids and got pregnant very easily. I think if you have an active sex life you will get pregnant sooner or later - provided you don't have any fertility issues or obstacles.

I'm not really on any other ttc boards at this time, but I can see how that could bug you! I really like knowing everything that's going on...so I like the extra information charting gives me.

It bothers me when people want to know what their chances are on a given cycle, and then they give you a bunch of dates that they did the deed. I'm always like um... maybe if i could see a chart.... LOL

I mostly just lurk on this forum and spend most my time in TTC #1....but when I do go browse AIP and see the posts with all the complicated dates that they are confused by I can't help but think if they only charted all would be clear...

I hate it when I don't chart a full cycle...I always decide to just take a break from it, but then when I know it's getting close to AF, I am p*ssed!! lol....It's just no good not knowing what's going on...it's unnecessary stress added to an already stressful time.
