Appointment today

I made this appointment almost a month ago, now the day is here and I am nervous.

I want to discuss the irregular cycle and bleeding that I have had the last two month, and show her the OPK's that are still not positive (there isn't even a 2nd line visible). Should I print out my FF chart even though it isn't a full month of temps yet?

Has anyone else taken in printed out charts or opk's to show the doctor?

I did!! I took all my charts and my OPKs.

I didn't want to leave anything out! They actually made copies of my charts and put them in my file, so that was cool.

Hope your appt. went well... what did they have to say?

well ... my suspicions were confirmed. She doesn't think I am ovulating and that I am having anovulatory bleeding. She and I have discussed possible PCOS in the past but never did any testing.

I did take in my charts and OPK's which she just entered the needed info into to my chart on the computer so she had record of it. She told me to continue charting, but that she said using the OPK's was up to me. I guess she doesn't trust the IC dip sticks LOL.

She prescribed Metformin and Femara

I will start taking the Met right away. Hopefully it will help me lose some weight. I was VERY shocked when I saw my weight on the scale today. I was in denial that it was back up so high. I guess no denying it now LOL. My blood pressure was high after I got on the scale ... no wonder LOL.

The Femara I have to talk to DH about. He was concerned about me taking fertility meds. He is in the "if God wants us to have a baby it will happen" camp. I have until CD 3 to decide if I am going to take it or not. I told DH that the Femara will help regulate my body ... it is not technically a fertility medication. I think he is afraid that if I take "fertility" medication we will end up with multiples which WOULD cause health problems for me since hyperemisis is more common with multiples. (I had severe hyperemisis with my youngest 6 years ago)

I have a follow up appoint June 25th, hopefully I will be pregnant by then. Otherwise we will discuss further options and testing.
