OMG. I have been taking Vitex since just after my last O, and I am pretty sure it is drying me up and delaying O! Okay so I normally O between CD 14-16 and today is CD 15 but my CM has dried up and the EWCM I had was scant and poor quality! My temps are erratic too. How frustrating! I have four more days of my vitex left. I will finish out the bottle and if my CM doesn't get better, or I don't O, I'm not using it anymore! I guess tomorrow I will just go and pick up some NPC from my OB/GYN.

Anyway, I just wanted to warn you all about the other side effects of vitex.

I actually took vitex for awhile then stopped when I got on clomid. It actually helped me. Without it I was not o'ing on my own. I have heard that if you don't need it it can mess you up. But I have nothing but good things to say about it. Once I get done having the baby I plan to go back on it. It gave me somewhat normal cycles instead of the 35+ I have been used to!

I've heard lots of bad things about vitex from women who tried it. The only thing i found that works, is a B complex. GL

You know, I have only hear good things about it, with the exception of those who it just didn't work with. If it wasn't for the messed up CM, I probably wouldn't have caught on that something was up at all. I started taking it to help balance my progesterone and estrogen and maybe stop all of the preAF bleeding I get. My temps did stay high last cycle after O when I took it, the preAF bleeding was still there, but it was a lot lighter, so I had such I hopes for this cycle. Maybe I will still O before I come off it... I'm not too "late" in Oing yet, but I should have Oed yesterday according to my cycle history, but could still O as late as tomorrow and be good. I just don't think it will happen with the CM I have today. I marked it as creamy, but it's really sticky. I have hopes it will change as it gets later today.

You could always give Robitussin a try. Being on Clomid has taken away the nice EWCM I used to have. But if I take Robitussin, it makes quite a difference... and FAST!

I usually get the $ Tree Tussin and it works just the same as the name brand. Might be worth a shot...

As for the late O... I know just how you feel. I normally O between CD 13 and CD 15. This month, I didn't go til CD 18! I hope your egg pops out soon!

I used it when I wasn't Ovulating and it helped. I wouldn't take it if I was ovulating as it can mess up your cycle. I take EPO to help with EWCM.
