DH and I have been TTC since October 2009. I was on BCP for years before then and my cycles are still all over the place. I started charting not too long ago, but last month's cycle was only 21 days...and now this one is going on CD 17 and still no sign of O. Ugh....

Not sure if it's too early to go to my dr to ask for some help.....!

Last cycle looked like you OEd, but your LP was only 9 days, which is a little short. You're temps were low too indicating maybe a LPD and/or low progesterone. Both could indicate poor egg quality while ovulating (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Natural progesterone cream can help with both of those, as well as clomid. There is a ttc with suppliments for fertility group you can join and those ladies might be able to help recommend herbs if you raen't wanting to go the clomid route. If its been so many cycles though since you have started TTC, then I would say it wouldn't hurt to call your doc if you wanted too. Its obvious that you have something going on if your cycles are so short. It will be nice to go in and show a chart or two as well. Good luck!

Last time we were TTC I went to the doctor after 6 cycles of trying, and I was surprised that she was willing to order a few tests to get the ball rolling.
I think I would call your doctor and bring your last month's chart. Since your luteal phase is obviously short, hopefully they will be able to help you out or recommend something. You can also try taking 100mg of vitamin B-6 or a B-100 complex to help lengthen your luteal phase.

I started taking 100mg of B6 daily after last month's cycle to see if that helped.

What type of birth control were you on and for how long? five to six months coming off birth control is not really that long. Birth control can REALLY screw up your hormones.

Low temps can indicate a lot of things, including hormonal problems. I used to have very low temps and then found out I had thyroid problems. Even while I was being treated for my condition I still had trouble conceiving, my thyroid numbers were normal, but had creeped up a bit. I was still having symptoms of low thyroid, so my doc gave me a higher dose of meds and I got pregnant the next cycle. I don't think it was a coincidence since I was charting and timing BD well.

I think a pill like Seasonique takes longer because you have a constant flow of artificial hormones into your body.

My OB wouldn't give me Seasonique because she said it can be VERY hard to conceive afterwards because the hormones are so constanct, versus 3 weeks on, 1 week off pills. I would just keep charting and see how it goes. It took us a lot longer to conceive our DD coming off the pill than any of our other pregnancies.

I don't think it's too early to at least ask your doc, they may tell you to wait it out a bit longer or may check into things... can't hurt right? It can take time to get back to normal on BCP, but for me, I was diagnosed with PCOS 6 months after going off BCP because I had my physical scheduled. That started a whole new process for us and I'm glad I found out then rather than just figuring that out now after a year of ttc or we'd be that much further behind...
