Insufficient Thyroid Hormone causes bodily functions to slow down

I have seen on a few charts both low basal body temps and short luteal phases. I am not sure if these women have been worked up for blood work yet or not, but thyroid function can really mess with fertility.

I have hypothyroidism and havehad difficulty conceiving in the past because of it. Even though my numbers were testing normal and I was ovulating and my condition was treated I was still having trouble getting pregnant. My doctor decided to increase my meds because I was having other symptoms and the next month I was pregnant, after 14 cycles.

Thryoid conditions can cause luteal phase problems. If youhave a low BBT and other signs of being hypothyroid, even if your blood tests have come back 'normal' it is worth looking into again. If you feel comfortable youcan share your lab values with me, I know a bit about what is normal and what doctors think is normal when it my not be. Unfortunately, the thyroid is not very understood and many docs don't care to find out, including endocrinoligists (I can't say about RE since I have never seen one, but regular endos don't give a flip about the thyroid)

I have wondered if I have thryoid issues, but I don't really have many of other symptoms of hypothyroidism. I'm actually borderline underweight. My temps now are quite a bit lower than they were before I got pregnant with my son, though.
I guess, reading further down into the article, I do have pretty low blood pressure and I have been anemic before when I tried to give blood.

Thanks for sharing,

I have been tested, but am thinking about being tested again.

MY temps are lower, but I think it's because I temp at 4:30am. This blood test is on my OBs list for me next appointment though, for other reasons.
