Hi, girls! I'm new to this board and charting in general. I've been using a calendar and using ovulation test strips for the past few months. I started because I'm breastfeeding my 1 1/2 year old still and ever since my periods came back 6 months ago, they've been insane and all over the place. Last month I o'd late. Had AF from 3/25-3/29. On late Sat 4/3 evening, DH and I had a condom issue. It came off and was sitting inside me. The rim was visible, I pulled it out, and a few minutes later relized some wetness "there" was "it". Sunday-Tuesday I had a ton of egg white cm, it was really bad Mon. I had a bit of an achey back Sun- present, felt some OV like pain Sun and Mon. Today (Wed 4/7), I took on ov test and it was as dark/nearly darker than the control line. This would make it a bit too late to get pregnant, right???? Sorry if it was a bit too graphic!!! I'd appreciate any help!!!

Gab!! I'm Nikki.

First... there's no such thing as too graphic around here!!

If you took an OPK and it's as dark/nearly as dark as the control line TODAY, you're entering PRIME TIME to get pregnant!!

Grab DH and ROCK HIS WORLD!!! Best of Luck & Baby

Haha! Thanks! Yeah, I don't want to rock his world in that way!!! We'd like to wait a few years when we move back to our hometown. Plus my nursing son is a bit of a handful and is up all night long, still! Other than keeping track of things to know whether or not AF is going to show that month, I'm also shooting for a girl next. . I want to have a nice, long charting history to go by to make that more likely!

I just hope what happened the other day wasn't an oops. It looks like it was my first fertile day. :0

Okay, so what do you girls recommend to chart with? I've been trying to input things int Fertility Friend's app and when I put in my previous cycle's info, it screwed up this cycle and deleting it didn't fix it. Now it's saying I should ovulate nexxt week, even though I know I did yesterday. Also, what should cm look like the day after ov?

I wouldn't say I'm charting to avoid, moreover to keep track. Since (through a ton of testing) we know my cycles are so irratic due to nursing, my OB wants me to take a pregnancy test whenever my period's 10 days late. I have months where my period skips, so in order to know whether or not I should expect a period, I've been checking with the ov test strips. Boy are things complicated!

Most of the girls here use FF, but there are some girls who use TCOYF (Taking Charge of Your Fertility) or MedHelp. There are quite a few to choose from...

As for what CM should be like the day after O... it's a bit tough to say. Everyone is a bit different. Some will have a patch or two of EWCM in the days immediately after O while others will immediately change over to Creamy. So it really depends on what your body does...

You could also check out the NFP/FAM board here on Just Mommies. They are more geared towards charting to avoid pregnancy .

I'm just charting... . Not to avoid nor conceive.

Any recommendations for a chart for irregular cycles?
