I had my yearly 2 weeks ago with a nurse practitioner and we scheduled a "fertility workup" for this Friday with my OB in the event that I'd be on to another cycle. Now that AF is started, I'll be going! I have to get blood drawn on Wednesday (CD 3) to check my thyroid, FSH, and something else that I can't remember. They also wanted to schedule DH for a SA...I think he's going to go in tomorrow morning.

So, anybody who has had an appt like this before....any idea what else I have to expect?

Well, I really don't know what to expect as far as all of that goes because I have known I had a problem since I was about 15...it was when I made an appointment with my OB to discuss TTC that he did my bloodwork, and actually dx'd my PCOS...I had my fasting glucose, FSH and LH levels checked.
My FSH was about 4 and LH was about 8 That's not good levels because LH should be about the same as FSH I believe.
So far, there are no concerns about Jerrod for him to have a SA, but I guess that's because I'm the one with issues!

Just wanted to wish you lots of good vibes for a great appt. Other than bloodwork and DH doing an SA, my OB/RE did a sonohysterogram (injecting water into your uterus--no big deal at all did not hurt !!! ) and also an HSG to check my tubes (which I had done during my little surgery so I never felt a thing) I did have a 7DPO progesterone check, make sure however you dont let them draw blood automatically on CD21 just b/c some think everyone O's on CD14. Keep track of your cycles & I just called my docs office with my O date according to my chart. Good luck

Ive had the blood tests and all that faz dangle stuff. Its not really that scary. That drew my blood did their thing and called me the next day with the results.
the HSG i had was very painful but my right tube is blocked. honestly this is all going to give you some clarity, so just go with the flow.
(((HUGS)))

Thanks ladies. They didn't tell me anything other than to do the whole blood work thing before I came...so I'm just going to bring my charts and hope that she tells me something useful.
