So it's all done now.

They told me that the Dr. would come out and tell DH all the info, show him pictures, etc while I was being moved to recovery. I won't actually see the Dr. for a week at my Post-Op, so I'm having to trust DH's word that he didn't get anything confused.

I woke up pretty crampy and they immediately gave me meds in my IV. Instant Pain Away!! Ahhhh! They asked me my birthday, who was there with me and all. I told them I wanted to see him. So they went and got him after a while. I was really groggy and sleepy, but not nearly as much as my gallbladder.

We got home around 2:20... went straight to the bed and passed out til about 4:00. I've since had some Beef Consomme, Ginger Ale, Jello and a Vicodin. My belly button incision was twinging a bit, but I'm feeling good now.

I'm fighting with the gas bubble mostly. The CMA at my Dr's office said the more I move, the worse the shoulder pain will be. And she was right. It was starting to hurt pretty bad earlier because I was moving a bit. I've since been laying on the sofa and I'm feeling MUCH better.

So according to DH, Dr. said both of my tubes were blocked and he found a bit of endo as well. Everything has been removed, everything looks perfect and we're doing IUI in the next week or so!!

My incisions are definitely more sore today than they were yesterday. I'm having next to no shoulder pain at all. The only time I feel a few stabs is when I've been up walking around too much... so I seem to be having the opposite experience from most. I'm just glad I'm not having all that shoulder pain I read so much about!!

DH has been wonderful! He's been getting me anything I need. He actually fusses at me if I'm doing too much! He removed my bandages this morning and cleaned my incisions for me. They look pretty ugly... I haven't had stitches like these in a loooong time. When I had my gallbladder out, they used the dis solvable kind, these are regular "have to be removed" stitches. It's also only been 24 hours, so I guess I can't expect them to look so hot!

I'm looking forward to my Post-Op so that I can hear all the info from Dr. Russell. I was really surprised to hear DH say they found Endo, because I've never had any symptoms as far as I can think of... I still want to be sure he heard right that both tubes were blocked, he's been kinda sketchy on re-telling the details, so I'm gonna wait, ya know?

I've had a call from the SurgiCenter and Dr. Russell's office this morning, both checking on me to make sure I'm doing alright. I was so impressed with that hospital that I'm planning on changing OB's. My OB isn't on staff at that hospital anymore and this hospital is like super fantastic! Their equipment and technology were all top notch, the staff was so kind, considerate, compassionate, friendly... just everything about it felt so comfortable.

DH is out running errands and picking up some stuff for me from the grocery store at the moment. They're calling for tons of sun and 73 degrees, so after he mows the lawn, I might sit out in one of our lounge chairs to get some fresh air. Dinner is gonna be pork & shrimp kabobs on the grill & our new Netflix movies just came... so we're set for a relaxing night in!

My temp shot up really high this morning... I'm thinking it's either from the surgery or maybe the Vicodin. I've seen some other Lap charts and I've seen some others with really high temps the day after the surgery, so I'm not worried.

I'm getting more and more excited for our IUI. I've got a great feeling about it!

Okay... Vicodin's kicking in now...

Hi Nikki !
Hope you are feeling a little better each day....for me when I had my lap in Jan. it took about 4-5 days before I felt "back to normal" again. I am SO glad this is over & done for you though, just what you needed to get onto that BFP! I'm ready for someone (YOU) to start the BFP storm When you mentioned you were surprised they found endo, I felt the same way. Never ever had symptoms other than I spot a few days before AF shows which my RE said could be sign. Hope you enjoyed a good movie last night, as long as the Vicodin didnt knock ya out snoozing. Happy Sunday!

Really?!? I never knew that... I have noticed that my cm will become colored a few days before AF too... so maybe that was a sign...
