Mine are about 96.7, with this new thermometer. My old was started misbehaving in January so I had it replaced with a different one. The old was gave temps around 97.1 or so for pre-O but this one is much lower. How about you?

Pre-O, I'm averaging right around 98.2 - Seems on the high side, but I'm also taking my temp vaginally.

seems like we're the two aliens here

It's only my first month temping so I don't know if this will repeat next cycle... but after stalking way too many charts on here and ff I realised it's kinda low...

when I googled it said it might be a sign for hypothyroidism.. but I checked it w/ symptoms (yea google is the worst doc will scare you half to death most of the time lol) and none of the big ones apply to me especially being cold a lot - I'm exactly the opposit.

I know the standard hormonal blood tests will pick up a high FSH which I'm doing if AF shows...

have you done the bw? if they came back ok I wouldn't worry about it.. if they came back with a high FSH count - you might want to talk to your doc about doing some more tests (then again I don't know your history you might be 10 steps ahead of me).

Trust me, I've googled it too and that's the same thing I found out, hypothyroidism. My doctor has checked my thyroid with blood tests many times and every time it's normal. I've been diagnosed with PCOS long time ago, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I haven't gone to the doctor to check my hormones in a while. I just moved to the States and I have to sort out this heath insurance thing first

My pre-o temps used to run low but they keep getting higher and higher. The last few days they have been 97.7ish.

I'd say my average is about 97.2ish. It used to be lower, but I don't know if that was just b/c it was winter.

I'm normally between 97.6 and 98. Since it started getting warmer, It's been creeping up to as high as 98.1. I also temp vaginally.

Ditto!! I have hypothyroidism and that was my first thought with those really low temps. I suggest getting it tested.

BTW.... be sure to get a FULL panel with free T3 and free T4. My last b/w showed my TSH to be normal but my Free T4 to be below normal. If they had just gone by my TSH, as many drs do, they would never have adjusted my meds as they should have.

I agree with Stacey, just because your labs are 'normal' doe snot mean that your thyroid is okay.

But, low temps can also be a sign of adrenal issues, which can cause infertility.

Thanks guys! I checked my temp last night at 10pm. I didn't feel cold, and it was in the 80s here, and my temp was 72.1! But I'm pretty sure I ovulated yesterday and I don't know how accurate that is. I will try to check my temp throughout the day today and see how it is.
