What does it mean when your breasts are exceedingly tender before you ovulate? I had tenderness starting before last AF, and it's been steadily getting worse the past couple of weeks. Hurts to touch. No O yet. Anyone else experience this? Nipples also slightly tender.

Google has been no help. Only post-O information. =P

I believe it's just a change in your hormone levels that brings on breast tenderness. It can happen before you ovulate, after you ovulate, before your period. For me personally, I don't get breast tenderness anymore, so maybe someone else will have a better answer for you

I would guess it's the spike in estrogen levels.

I've had that once or twice before before O-ing. I think it must be a hormone thing.

I agree that it is hormonal.
