Hi Ladies,

Word on the street is that you are the ones to talk to about charting questions.

So I'll start with a little background on me. I'm Tracy, and DH and I are on cycle 2 of TTC #1. I was previously on the NuvaRing and stopped using it after my March cycle. I started temping right away and charting my CM. You guys make it look so easy! First cycle was a BFN, and on to cycle two! On my first cycle I got very strong O pain and knew that when I got the chross-hairs it was for real. This month my temps have been all over the place. I didn't believe it when FF gave me the CH because I didn't feel anyting! I kept waiting for my temps to drop again so I could really O and then they'd go up again, but it never happened. So here I am, 11 DPO but only a few symptoms that could mean nothing and I'm questioning myself and going crazy and I keep wondering if I even O'd a all!

So, I guess what I'm asking for is your opinion on my chart. I don't have much experience on what they should look like, so hopefully you all can tell me if you think I even O'd this cycle. If you need more information let me know. My chart should be in my siggy, but I'm not sure if if I set it up right, so here is a link: 2db364 Ovulation Charts

Thank you in advance for your help!

Tracy

I'm not sure. Could you be obscuring your EWCM with semen and mischarting it? It looks like you did O, but I don't know if I agree with FF on when.

That is a definite possibility. I'm really terrible at the CM thing and determining what is what. When do you think I might have O'd?

Wow, your temps are all over the place. Something you might want to try if you have a next cycle is temping vaginally, even your last chart was like mountains and valleys. Vaginal temping will giv eyou a more steady pattern. If it doesn't then you may have a hormonal imbalance, coming off of hormonal BC can do that. It may take a little while for it to get out of your system.

Check out the charts of some of us that have been doing it a while to see what it *should look like. I currently have a bunch on my FF since I have the free month of VUP

Hm... thanks ladies I hadn't even given vaginal temping a thought. Is is still done first thing in the morning before you get out of bed? That would definitely be worth trying next cycle (hopefully there won't be the need

I also kinda gave CD 24 a thought for possible O, it seems to make a bit more sense with what I'm feeling. Crap, that would put me back to 6DPO! oh the 2WW sucks!

Thanks a lot for the input ladies I feel slightly less crazy now.

i 'm not sure maybe CD24 but it's har to say. I've never temped vag but my first 2-3 cycles charted after coming off bcp in 07 were screwy like that. I think by the third it got better...

your temos started out real low too. I am now thinking more of a hormone imbalance. Do you mind me asking if you are a little overweight? Hypothyroid makes your metabolism slow and you gain weight and makes your temps lower (and it harder to loose weight) I believe. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

You are right. Also, adrenal fatigue, another hormone problem, does the same thing. People that are stressed tend to have adrenal problems, it also causes low temperatures and weight gain.

Crazy stuff, isn't? The problem with the adrenals is they can cause infertility

Oh, there is treatment. And it works. It is just slow and I don't think there is a a quick fix, like medication. I know diet helps a lot though.

I bet you're probably right about still being a bit screwy from the birth control. I kinda figured it might take a few months to get back to normal.

I'm not sure what causes my low temps, but I'm always cold so it doesn't really surprise me. I've been tested for anemia before and everything came back fine. I don't mind you asking, but I'm actually not overweight. I could stand to lose 5 lbs, but I'm currently 5'4" 124lbs.

Now stress is another thing. I definitely have some of that and after this week (my summer graduate course is ending) that should decrease significantly.

I really do appreciate all the helpful ideas, you ladies are awesome!

darn it! Had a post and I lost it. Can you link me some treatments? I have already done a lot of the recommendations like the vits. I was reading some more on trating estrogen dominence too and it says basically to go all organic and stop using plastic. I store my fruits and veggies for my lunches in plastic bags so i'm not sure what to do in that instance...

Hi Tracy, and welcome to the board! I don't think I can add anymore than girls have already done. They've given some great advice, for me too. Adrenal glands article was helpful to me, because it seems like I have many symptoms that are listed.

Kind of a random question (and I am by no means a pro...), but do you sleep with your mouth open? I do bc of my allergies, and my first month of temps were low like yours and all over the place, but I switched to vag temping and they are miraculously following the pattern that they should. I first ran a test - temped by mouth first thing in the AM, then immediately vag temped. The vag temp was almost 1 full degree higher! Try it out and see what happens.
