And how do you think they would react to a brand new baby when you get your bfp?

Yep! We've got 2 cats and a dog.

I think Cinder (dog) will be great. We've seen her around little ones before and she's very good! I baby sat my friend's first child when he was just crawling and while I was in the kitchen making him some cereal, Cinder kept coming into the kitchen whining at me and then running back out again. I finally followed her to see what her damage was and here she was trying to tell me the baby had crawled down the hallway and into the back bedroom.

My only concern with her is her possibly being jealous. She's always become a little dejected when we've gotten a new animal, so we'll have to make extra sure that we give her plenty of attention so she doesn't feel left out.

As for the cats... I have no idea. I imagine they probably won't care very much. Cats are more independent that way... so I'd be surprised if they started flippin' out and being weird.

I have a dog and a cat. We had the same 2 pets when DS was born. Our dog was ecstatic to have a new best friend. Our cat was kinda freaked out by the think that moved and cried...but now he will occasionally (& cautiously) seek out DS.

I have two cats and I honestly don't know how they'll react. Baby was jealous when we got Lola and he still is sometimes so I don't know if he'll be jealous of a real baby! I think Lola will be fine. DH doesn't want to get a dog before we have a baby from fear that he/she won't take well to the baby, so I guess we'll have to wait.

I have one cat and he is very tempermental so i'm not sure how he would react to a new little one... my 3 week old niece spent the weekend with us last weekend and he like vanished so i'm guessing he wouldn't take it well.....he would have to get over it!!!
