Hello all. Still in my first month of charting and am finding all of the results very interesting and informative. I'm currently 9DPO and am wondering if my chart is becoming triphasic? I had a temp dip 6DPO and it's been going up ever since. I know this doesn't indicate pregnancy, but also curious if anyone's heard of reasons why someone would have a triphasic chart if they're not? I haven't really found anything online and am looking for stuff to ask my Dr about.

My chart is at Fertility Friend with extension: /home/2506

Let me know what you think

I say it could go either way. Progesterone is what will cause the temps to rise like that. Unless you have a normal pattern (usually seen after about 6mos or more of charting your temps) and this is totally different, then I would say to get excited. However, since this is your first cycle, be cautiously optimistic. I got a BFP on my 1st cycle TTC/Charting with DS1 and I had all the classic signs....triphasic, IB at 8DPO, BFP at 14DPO. GL!

Yeah I'm trying not to look too deeply into my chart since it's the first month I've been recording BBT but I can't deny that it's curious. I've been really tired this week, falling asleep nearly every day after I get home from work (which is not normal for me). Granted, it could just be whacky pms but it could be something else too. hehe I've been off BCP for about a year now, so if anything, charting has brought me peace of mind that things seem to be functioning ok down there. :-p

When will you be testing? Your chart looks good! I would say it does look triphasic.

I'm going to try and hold out to see if AF shows up early next week. If my temps are still going up by the 29th, I'll test. So tough to wait though. I had a baby dream day before yesterday and then last night had an AF dream. I think my body is messin with me. hehe

I forgot to mention that I had been taking Vitex for maybe 5-6 months and decided to stop about 2 weeks ago. That wouldn't have any effect on my current chart would it? I quit about a week before ovulation.

I had started taking it because I thought my cycles were off but I wasn't sure if I really needed it in the first place, so I quit. Last month I was 6 days late, so taking Vitex didn't really do a lot for me apparently. I also noticed a change in my periods while taking it. Without Vitex, it just showed up- pow! The last 2 months I was on it, I would get very light pink/brown spotting for 1-2 days before, which was not normal for me.

Guess that got a little OT here. hehe
