I have been told that getting atleast 3 hours of sleep before temping is more important that what time you take them... I often wake up in the middle of the night so my 3 hours chunks often come at different times. Last night I took my temp at 4 AM and a 8 AM. I had about 3 1/2 hours before both. At 4 my temp was at 97.23 and at 8 it was 97.82. HUGE difference. I recorded the 8 AM one, because most of my temps are from around 8.... But what does this mean? Is temping not really accurate? Have I not really O'd? I hate charting...
In my opinion, I think it's more accurate to take your temp at the same time every morning. If I were you, I'd stick to the 8am time that you typically use. I myself am a pretty restless sleeper but still find my temps to be pretty accurate as long as I take it around the same time every morning. I also switched to temping vaginally which has helped me temp accurately. Looks like you definitely could have O'd on CD18 if those temps stay up. Hope this helps! GL!
I'd also use the 8:00 one, since that's closest to when you normally take it. It seems like you could have O'd on CD 18 (your temps are up, you had fertile CM, and the fertile CM is now gone). I know some girls say that temping vaginally keeps your temps from fluctuating as much.
