RE's office just called. Yet another BFN.

You all know the drill... call on CD 1, blah blah blah.

She said if I want to do another natural cycle, that's fine or if I want, I can sit down with my doc and have a talk about being more aggressive. She said he usually tries something 3 times, then if it doesn't work he moves on to something more aggressive. But she also said I don't have to wait 3 times if I don't want to... if I want to step things up now, that's totally fine too.

I told her to let me talk to my DH and when I call to report AF, I'll let them know what we've decided. I'm guessing more aggressive would be moving on to injectables. I don't know what all is involved with that or what our insurance covers... so that's a whole different conversation.

So I don't know... my biggest fear came true. It didn't work and now I'm left sitting here asking myself "What do I do now?"

I hope you and DH can come to a good decision and whatever it may be, I hope you get the baby you so deserve. I can only imagine how frustrating and heartbreaking this whole process must be. More

I'm sorry hun!! I want to encourage you though.... we got pg on our 4th (and would have been final) cycle of IUI/Femara. If we wouldn't have gotten pg, we were going to move onto injectibles. The funny thing is that cycle I only had 1 mature follicle and I was SO mad and wanted to throw the cycle away and try to get more eggs the next cycle. Our insurance co. was paying for the IUI so DH said we should do it since it wasn't costing us anything. That was the only cycle I did the trigger shot.... and it worked!! I was honestly shocked. I was NOT expecting a BFP. If you haven't already I HIGHLY recommend doing an IUI/Femara/Trigger combo for a cycle or two and then move on.
