Some background: I am on CD7 following a 93-day post-BCP cycle that finally came to an end last Thursday (WHEW!). I had a similar period to what I would have on BCP, about 5-6 days including spotting. It basically ended yesterday, CD6. You can see all on my chart...

SO my question is: what should I expect now? I am charting my temps, my CM and my cervix position. Yesterday, when I felt my cervix for the first time after AF, I could easily reach it, it was fairly firm (I am still unsure how to tell is it's open or closed) Today, I am barely able to get to it and it seems softer. I am checking it from the same position... Now, I have pretty small hands/fingers (size 3.5 ring finger!!) so I am afraid that when it's actually "high", I won't even be able to reach it. So how do I use this reliably? Have any of you had trouble reaching your cervix so early in the cycle? Could that be my "medium" with "high" being impossible to feel?

Also, can I already be getting fertile so early in my cycle? I am not dry either as most would be on CD7; my CM *seems* lotiony/creamy but fairly clear, not cloudy.

I know my cycles may be weird for awhile after BCP and this may not yet be normal even though I finally had a period (and *seem* to have O'd). But our plan is to BD every day, since my cycle may still be off, until I ovulate so does that mean we should be starting today?!

Please help me make sense of this!!!

You could be fertile so early, and I have small fingers too, also size 3.5. Hopefully yours are long? I would say if you can't reach it, it's very high and a good sign. I'm not good with open/partially open either. It always seems like my cervix is open when it's low and firm... crazy. Anyhow, it seems to me like you are describing normal vaginal moisture and that you are actually "dry". To check to see if it's CM or vaginal moisture, put some in a glass of water. If it dissolves it is vaginal moisture.

I have found the easiest position for me to consistently reach my cervix is squatting. I've tried checking on the toilet and with a raised leg, but this past cycle I read about the squatting and tried it and it was a ton easier. Also try checking the same time each day. For whatever reason, it seems my cervix is higher at night then first thing in the morning.

Since you are BDing every day until you O, be sure not to confuse EWCM with semen. Semen will dry faster then EWCM.

Wow, this was sooo helpful, thank you! I had no idea there were different types of "wetness", regular and mucus-y Good to know!

Incidentally, by the evening, my cervix appeared to be at about "medium" so I think we'll wait a few ore days to start the daily BDing.

Thanks again.
