Hi there, I am new to this board. I just started temping this cycle again ( I have done it in the past but never while working nights) and I am now working night shift part time. I am wondering if its even worth temping or if I should adjust my temps or what? I only work 2-3 days a week with a week off in between. I just don't know what to do.

High, I sometimes switch back and forth from days and nights (I'll be working nights this weekend for the next four days) I have a column to mark that I've worked nights, but really I haven't noticed any differences in my temps. Since I work 12 hour shifts, I make everything about 12 hours different from days. So I normally temp at 4:50am, I temp at 4:50pm. If I'm having trouble sleeping (often do no matter when I get up) I take my temp as soon as I wake and try to go back to sleep. TCOYF says if you wake to go pee or something before you temp, you can go back to sleep for an hour and temp and your temps should be accurate.

Some women are really time dependent on their temps. I'm not as long as I get good sleep before had. Hope this helps!

You could try temping and see if they stay pretty consistant. I would deifnitely use OPK's though so you don't miss your O. GL!

your welcome. Be sure to pay special attention to your cm as a backup. You should dry up quickly after O as progesterone rises. GL.

A temp job can be a way to earn extra cash, to gain experience in industries and careers you might not have otherwise thought of trying. But its good to do something than nothing!!

I worked full time nights as a nurse. (now on bedrest) I never adjusted my temps. I just temped whenever i woke up to pee, as long as it was after 3 hours of sleep. I also did vaginal temps, as they gave a clearer picture. (unfortunatley i did find that night work seemed to go hand in hand with infertility. Every time i fell pregnant, was when i happened to O while on vacation)
