hi ladies

i have a bit of a huge question to ask.
i have been analysing my charts. i fear that i might not be responding to well with clomid but then again... i do.

if you have a look at my charts you will see i have taken clomid 4 times (i am now on my 5 cycle but not concecutively)

the first time i took 50mg clomid in july 2008 and i ovulated on cd17 but did not conceive.

the second time i took 50mg clomid was August 2008 and i ovulated very late cd42. i would like to add that on the 16 of August i got married and the stress may have had something to do with the late O. i did conceive and my dd was born june 2009

now i am ttc #2 and in april i took clomiphene 100mg and ovulated CD17. i did not conceived - bd was out.

second time round i took clomiphene 50mg and ovulated on CD38. i did conceive but mc - i think it was due to the stress i had at work.
my body seems to react to stress negatively even though i am ok.

this cycle i took 50mg clomid but i fear i am going to have a long cycle because of my high preO temps.

now these are some charts where i didnt take clomid but had high preO temps and ovulated late (which seems to be my normal cycle)
no clomid, late O, high preO temps

no clomid, late O, high preO temps, chem preg

my question is. is it that i dont respond well to clomid?
could it be that my preO temps may affect my ovulation date?

should i mention this to my doctor? i dont want to do injectables. i am terrified of them but it seems that the clomid might not be enought to get those eggs to grow!

help?

I really don't see a whole lot of problems with your charts. You've gotten quite a few BFP's, both with Clomid and without... so it seems to me that your body responds fairly well. It is hard to tell much about this cycle though, because you've only got 3 temps in.

I'm on my 5th (non consecutive)round of Clomid myself, and I've noticed that my Pre-O temps tend to be a touch higher when I'm on it than when I'm not. Initially it did delay my O... not anywhere near as long as yours were, but my doc did say that happens because your body is making more eggs so that takes a bit longer.

I hear ya on not wanting to do injectables. I was thinking my RE might've put me on them this cycle, but he said injectables wouldn't be right because they'd create a ton of extra eggs when we only needed a couple, plus they're thousands of dollars and he wants us to save the money in case we have to go IVF.

I'm sorry I don't have more concrete answers for you. Like I said, I think it looks like you respond quite well... Hopefully as this cycle progresses, you'll get more clarity and confidence.

Best of Luck & Baby

it makes me feel a bit better knowing that your tems are higher too. mine are not a touch higher though... they are alot higher...

i guess i will just have to wait and see how things go this cycle

oh yeah and i have a skill at getting the bfps but not at keeping the babies... sux!

I did Clomid for like 4 cycles and didn't get a BFP from it. HATED Clomid. The s/e weren't worth the lack of a BFP. I did Femara and that worked wonderfully for me.... and no s/e! Your temps will generally be higher with fertility meds. Have you had your progesterone levels checked during your pregnancies?

i have thought of asking for femara but they dont use that as treatment in this country yet. i spose i could ask anyway.
i have had my progesterone checked just after i had my 8 week mc and it was low. my doc then said that i obviously have an LPD and that is why i need clomid to get pg.

i tend to mc everytime i fall pregnant without clomid.
