I was wondering if anyone had unusual PMS symptoms like anxiety or depression, especially ladies that ovulate irregularly.

You could have PMDD... do the symptoms go away once your period starts? Are they worse the week before your period?

No, I am usually very upbeat when I'm not on my period. As soon as it hits, though, I get paranoid, slight heart palpitations sometimes, anxiety, nervousness, small panic attacks, slight case of the funk or blues, and irritability.
I normally ovulate around day 19, and that's a little late on average. Last cycle I ovulated on day 60 because of some slight stress at the beginning of my cycle. Looking back on that, I would classify my mood then as manic. I was running around frenzied for three weeks strait. Since stress can delay ovulation, I was wondering if there might be a connection between my period symptoms and my late and sometimes irregular ovulation.
I wonder if other women often experience the same thing and ovulate late/irregularly because of it.

I just looked up PMDD. I pretty much match that list. Thanks for throwing it out there. I've heard of it, but hadn't really paid attention to it before.
New question: Anyone with PMDD ever experience late ovulation?

I have PMDD, but I don't think O is irregular. I am only in the beginning of my 4th PP cycle, and I ever charted O before, but I have always had a very normal 28-30 day cycle.
You might also want to look into other things as well. I am bipolar, and I think more so than PMDD, I go into a depressed episode prior to AF. If you are having mania, you may also be bipolar.

I just read up on bipolar, and while it's similar to some things I've experienced, I don't think that's it. I think mine is completely hormone related. I am normally pretty up, but it seems like as soon as AF hits, I'm just in a funk. It was really bad the first day of AF, and just kind of hovering all day on day 2. Today I had bits of happiness with some down. It's better than yesterday. Tomorrow should be really good, and by the time I'm off AF it's normally gone.
Treatment for what I think I have is a balanced diet, rest, and exercise. I've been a bit restless lately so maybe a salad a day with some DDR and a Tylenol PM at night will fix me up.

I had a definate hormonal problem. I would have some days then i'd feel so horribly hopeless, weepy, and distraught and wonder how i got along... and then realize i was about to ovulate. The next day i would be fine. Weirdest thing. I also had similar issues when starting AF.
I was ready to blame it on mental illness or whatnot, until i was able to line things up with my cycle. I know its just hormones, because i didn't have this problem at all when i was on the pill. Or at all now that i'm pregnant.
My ovulations were variable. Some late some close to being on time. I can't really say i noticed if there was a difference in mood with those.
