IUD out over a month ago, still breast feeding almost one year old. NO period which was normal for me when on the IUD but could be a breastfeeding/IUD combo now.

So over a month IUD out and no period. My son just for 3 days has started sleeping 6 and 7 hours straight. And I am decreasing pumping at work.

TMI but I am trying to chart cervical mucus and am normally (pre IUD out) very dry.

For the past 3 weeks I have been having a TON of creamy, milky, yellowy lotion like CM. Is it normal to keep having it forever?

My cycles changed after I had my daughter. Yours might be doing the same. I nursed for 19 months, but can't say I remember much mucus at all. I think I was still pretty infertile even having my cycles back those last few months. For me, the only sign of ovulation was very painful breasts.

I didn't start to get normal cycles with mucus like you're describing till DD was weaned for about 7 or 8 months, and my breasts still leak. I often wonder if they are the reason my LP is on the short side.

Maybe your body is getting there quicker than mine since you are getting mucus so soon. =)

I hope so! Because prior to having my IUD removed I did not have ANY cervical mucus.

Many breastfeeding women have infertile discharge all the time, it's very normal. If your IUD contained hormones, that shrivels up the part of your cervix where mucus is produced - so it's normal not to have much when using a hormonal contraceptive.

If it remains exactly the same day after day for 2 weeks, it's infertile discharge. If it begins to change in the way it feels or looks, that's fertile mucus.
