I started off temping at the beginning of my cycle, and was really good about going it every morning and tracking it. Then I missed several days, between CD 12 and CD 16, due to being sick with the stomach bug which got me off my routine. Anyways, I had no symptoms of ovulating (no EWCM, no lower back or abdominal pain like I normally get, just nothing!). I started temping again, and right away I noticed my temp was above my baseline, and its stayed there for three days now. So I may O today, or I am wondering if I may have already ovulated without noticing.

My question is, does the temp only go above the baseline if you have ovulated? If you didn't ovulate, will it go above the baseline around the time you normally ovulate? My DH and I did the BD around that time, but we have continued to do so just because I don't feel like I have ovulated yet. I have been using OPK's as well, and have not had a positive yet.

Frustrating! Next month I'm going to try to be better about temping every day.

I wish I could see your chart to get a better idea. Generally your temp rise should be atleast .3 higher than your previous 6 temps and stay at that temp or higher for the rest of your cycle. You can look at my chart link at the bottom of my siggy if you want to see what a temp rise should look like. I have a very classic easy to follow pattern.

Also the sickness could be causing your temp to be higher than normal. Even if you dont feel sick anymore your body may still be fighting wich can raise your temp. Since you dont feel like you have O'ed yet I would keep monitoring your CM and taking ovulation tests just in case and see where your temps go from here.
