Taking their temps vaginally?? I had a look to day to compare the difference , my temp was 36.9 orally and 37.5 vaginally. I'm thinking of trying it for next cycle, thoughts?

I have always temped orally. Personally, i don't think getting the exact temp matters as much as being able to see a clear pattern or temp shift signaling ovulation[. if it's not broke why fix it? Now if your temps have been erratic or if you tend to breath through your mouth over night, switch to vaginal temping might be a good way to go. GL to you!

maybe I'll do both, I have been using FF and myfertilitycharts, then I can compare. I get bored easily.

me too!

i was actually thinking of charting twice a day, a chart for my 1st waking temp, and then another one for the evening (as if I need anthing else to obsess over!) I ready that if u track evening temps on a separate chart, temping at the same time every evening and having consistent activity levels daily at that time, althought it won't be an accurate bbt, u should be able to detect a temp shift in that too. My goal in doing that is being able to narrow down ovulation from a 24 hr window to a 12 hr window. and it wouldn't be any extra work for me as I am known to have my thermometer stuck in my mouth and random times during the evening 'to see how my temp is doing'.

I temp vaginally. I used to have some crazy temps when I temp'd orally, so I switched and have had better results. Mostly because sometimes I slept with my mouth open. HAHA!

No most people do it orally, they use BBT digital thermometers which they stick in the mouth on waking (before moving or talking etc).
