Hello again, Ladies

I say 'again' as I hung here for a couple of months before falling pregnant with DS2 (whom is now 8 months).

Ok, so why am I here again?

DP and are thinking we want another dc, and for various reasons (not limited to, but including my age (just turned 37)) would like it to happen soon or probably not at all.

DS2 is still breastfed, but despite him co-cleeping and feeding LOTS still through the night, I got my first PP AF at four months.

I re-started charting last month to check if I was ovulating, and whether my LP would be messed up from such frequent night feeding still. Although I'm O'ing a little later in my cycle, LP seems to still be 14 days. All good!

This month, we timed BD'ing pretty well so into the tww went I...

9 DPO I started spotting. It didn't make it as far as my panties, I was checking internally (as I always do, it's never 'irritated'my cervix before so I really don't think it's that). Sometimes dark brownish-red, sometimes brown. Others a bit more red/pink. I thought my nipples looked bumpier than usual and possibly darker and were senstive. Some definite queasy moments in the day and had trouble eating. In short I felt pregnant. Because of that, I took a FRER on the morning of 10 DPO for a start white BFN (tested stark white BFN 12 DPO with DS2 so really wasn't expecting to see an early + ). Spotting went on all day 10 DPO too, never stopping but never getting worse either (and I went out walking for a couple of hours). Nausea vanished though, as did nipple senstivity.

Cut to today - I'm 11 DPO. Spotting was still there this morning but seemed to have changed - now it was reddish EWCM, and as the morning went on, EWCM streaked with tiny amounts of red. ABout five hours ago DP and I DTD (sorry if tmi!) and very strangely, up until just now the spotting stopped completely. It's back to EWCM streaked with red (and as I already mentioned, this is ALL internal - none of it makes it outside so as you can imagine the amounts are relatively small).

Oh, and I don't 'feel' pregnant anymore! My chart has also started a downward trend from when the spotting started - 26b9a7 Ovulation Charts

SO CONFUSED!

Not expecting period yet = this could totally be IB = good
But temp going down, and vanishing feelings = Not so good.

Opinions? I know, I know, tomorrow's temp will be telling; wait a few days then test again. I know these stock answers - I've said them to others myself (as well as telling myself repeatedly today!)

But, y'know, I'm obsessing. So help me pass the time by speculating what the heck is happening to me!!

Well, I am a totally POAS pusher, so I say test tomorrow or later today or both!

My honest guess after looking at your chart is that your only hope is that you get real high temps the next couple of days. Because otherwise you do have a gradual decline. But it could be late implantation dip. GL!

What day did you get a BFP with your son?

HEy Bethany, thanks for your reply

I just posted an update as I x-posted this in AIP, so I'll copy and paste that here as it answers your question too! ( I actually have 3 DC, so you'd think I'd have this down by now!):

So an update. After spending hours and hours googling the other day to follow links that never updated what the outcome was was kinda frustrating!

Not that there is an end to my story yet, but still...

I'd forgotton to mention that 9-10 dpo I was getting what I can only describe as a burning sensation (not strong enough to be a 'pain'), a kinda burning 'fizzing' in my uterus area and also around left ovary.

Yesterday, 12 DPO there was a very small amount of reddish brown blood at my cervix which disappeared until DP and I DTD early afternoon after which I found red blood when I went to the toilet afterwards. However, that promptly vanished and there has been NOTHING since (It's now approaching midday 13 dpo). Well, when I say 'nothing' there was lots of white lotion-like CM with a bit of ewcm in it this morning, and I continue to feel 'wet'.

My bbt has started to creep back upwards from yesterday too (link in previous post).

This morning, FRER...

...BFN!

GAH! So much seems to point to a pregnancy yet BFN.

Ok, so technically I'm still 'early' testing. And I know that the whole process of implantation takes approx four days to complete, so if started 9 dpo and finished yesterday, it's concievable I wouldn't have built up enough HCG in my urine yet. Plus I've never had a BFP 'early' (DD I was 6 weeks pregnant before I even tested (young and in denial!) DS1 was bfn 14 dpo, bfp next day, DS2 bfn 12dpo then didn't test again until 15 dpo - bfp)

Why am I torturing myself?!

And.. do you think I'm deluding myself or does it sound 'good' to you?

I shall update again wheter AF gets me or I finally see a bfp!

ANd today's update, as also posted in AIP:

Well, I'm still confused.

14 DPO, another BFN and another temp rise (even though it's now snowing here, so the room is colder, and I wore LESS in bed than usual). No sign of the spotting (or the spotting I usually get before af - which didn't actually turn up last month though)

Hmm, if I didn't see the bfns I'd be thinking you were pregnant with the way your chart looks. But, at 14dpo I'd really think you would have a bfp by now. Your o date looks right to me. Have you consistently had your AF since you got it back or has it come and gone? I never got AF back when I was bfing until my LOs were a year old or older. I do remember when I was charting and bfing that my LP was weird and my AF was sometimes weird too. Do you think it's possible that the spotting could have been a super light AF or that your AF is disappearing again due to bfing?

My only other thought is that you are just having a longer LP this cycle. It seems like your temps tend to go up right before AF and then suddenly drop. I think the spotting could be the start of your AF and your chart could just be playing tricks with you.

I'd wait another day or two before you test again. If this was implantation spotting you should get a BFP soon and I think you'll be able to tell more tomorrow with your temps. Your LP shouldn't be much longer than 15 or 16 days so if it starts going longer than that and you don't get AF or a BFP I'd start relooking at your chart to see if your o date could be off - honestly it looks right to me though.

Thanks so much for taking the time, Patty

AF returned when DS2 was shy of four months - I introduced solids at 12 weeks (he was 9lb 12oz at birth and continued to stay on the 91st centile to this day - he neeed it!) so I'm guessing that's why. The first three were exactly 28 days, then the next two were 'late' by about 6 days so that's when I decided to start temping again to check if I was O'ing (certainly looks like I did last month and this). Perhaps I didn't O for the first few PP afs. But it's definitely not gone MIA since, and the first three were SUPER heavy. Then it settled down to less heavy but going on and on for longer.

I really truly don't feel the four days of spotting could have been af as it was only ever making it as far as my cervix - if I hadn't have been checking internally I highly doubt I'd have seen it, and if so it would have been nothing more than brown by then. If it's possible for af to be *that* light, then maybe... but my temps have crept back up after so I'm back to scratching my head!

I agree my O date looks (and 'feels') right...

Ah, back to waiting! It's approaching 4pm here - can I go to bed now so that I can temp earlier!?

Thanks again Patty, I'll update either way when I get news...

Well, this morning my temp crashed through the floor in the most dramatic fashion so I guess I'm just awaiting the witch's arrival!

In my heart, I think I feel we caught an egg that failed to implant properly. Thanks for letting me obsess here - perhaps I'll be back next month!
