It can seem very confusing at first and as the pp says, fetility friend has some great tutorials.
You just need some patience at first; and stick with it. Pretty soon it just 'clicks' and becomes second nature to temp, record and interpret.
And, of course, keep asking questions! It's pretty empowering to actually see evidence of ovulation and understanding your cycle.
