I posted this in the TTC thread too for extra opinions:

Okay, I can't be the only one here frustrated with my charting. I just started back to doing it and according to the day count, I should ovulate between January 6th and January 10th. Well, my temperature runs pretty low anyway, usually around 96.something and yesterday it went up to 97.4. Therefore on Fertilityfriend.com there is a big jump. Did I ovulate early? Is my body retarded? How much of a jump am I looking for? I'm frustrated because my husband has his 'test' on Thursday and we can't do the BD until after that, which was fine because ovulation time was after the appointment, but if I already did, I'm going to be so frustrated!

I'm a bit confussed with the charting also.... I had a similar situation when my temp spiked and I thought I was ovulating. (But I'm guessing I didn't). Take a look at my chart (click on the ticker) My chart had supposedly spiked twice but never ovulated. Then my temps went back down to 96-ish and then the past couple days my temp rose! Hopefully this is my ovulatoin.

You could have O'd early, or just had a rogue high temp. Can you shar eyour chart? It makes it easier to answer your questions if you do.

to be considered a thermal shift FF needs 3 temps over the coverline. it also helps FF to pin point your O day by charting your CM too
