Why I dislike charting

I dislike charting because I always over analyze.

Below are links to two charts. One gives me cross hairs, the other doesn't. I have 2 17month olds who wake up throughout the night, so I rarely have enough sleep in a row to get an accurate temp. Some days I'll temp twice, at different times, to see what I get. Of course the last 2 days I've gotten very different temps the two times I took it. Todays temps were taken at 4:15 and 5:30. Yesterdays were probably taken around 3:00 and 5:00. I know they should be consistent, but that's not always possible. Is it normal to have such a range in temps? I got the higher temp each day at the later time.

I guess I'm trying to figure out if I really Od or if I'm having an anovulatory cycle. My cervix position and cm both said I Od, but the temps in the one chart say I didn't.

I agree it is hard to over analyze it all. part of the debate is whether it is better to do it at the same time every day or after 3+ hours of consistent sleep.

I tend to stick with the 3 hours of sleep so if my kid woke me up at 4 one day 3 the next and 5 the next I would always use the first temp. FF is able to take some time variation into account.

Is one of these just your first temps early? I still think that saturday was the day. You can go into the one that doesnt have crosshairs and temp ahead like for tomorrow put one in that is 96.9. I still think it will give you crosshairs too. Sometimes they just delay giving them if it is a slow rising thermal shift

Thanks! I haven't even bothered to put my temping times into ff because they've varied so much. I probably should have done that. I'll play around with it and see what it does if I put higher temps in. Right now, the second chart does not look biphasic, so I'm wondering if my body went through the attempt to O, but didn't actually get around to it. That seemed to be my issue the first time I was ttc, so we'll see if it's the same deal the second time around.
