I am TTC... i had a MC in May and we can't seem to connect.
wAS On pill for 10 yrs.. came off and got pregnant that same month then miscarried 6 wks later.
I have a period for about 3 - 5 days very light or just spotting every 6 wks. I have had a fibroid removed and part of my tube was remove and the Dr reconnect it so I don't know if I only ovulate off one side or both.
IMHO, I would wait on the OPKs for a few cycles. I too have longer cycles and since you don't O on cd14, it is really a guess. If this is your first time charting and your cycles are an average of 42 days, then it would be hard to say exactly when you O. The average LP is 12-14d which would put you Oing around day 28-30. I would temp and get a couple charts to compare and see exactly when your average O time is and then you can plan your OPKs around that. Personally I do not use OPKs. I used them with DD1 and the cycle I got my BFP with her was a 44day cycle. I literally used OPK's for over 2w (and that was A LOT of $$$) and NEVER got a +...not even the hint of a line to indicate something was going on. Obviously I did O because I have a 3.5yo sitting in the other room watching Disney Jr right now.
