for those of you who have ovulation pains, i was wondering (to make sure im not just imagining things) where exactly do you feel them. i hear most ppl have them on their right side, but where specifically in relation to your belly button? (using inches or finger width, etc)
just curious! :-)

some people that have O pains only feel them on one side and only feel them every other month. usually ovulation alternates from ovary to ovary and can only feel pain in the one side. When I used to get pains like that it was about half way between my belly button and hip bone, but lower down, more inline with the hip bone.

I always get O pains, and they're usually on the left side. I just had an vaginal u/s and he said my ovaries and everything look good.

I usually feel my O pain exactly where the ovaries are shown on this diagram. For me it feels like a sharp throbbing pain for about 4-6 hours.

I feel them on the inside of my lower hip bone. I feel it most often on my right side so I assume I ovulate from that side mostly. I feel O pain about 10 days before the actual ovulation. This is normal, the pain you feel is the follicles swelling. Than on O day the pains are usually more intense.
