am i the only who has had 7-8 days of EWCM for two cycles or more???? whats going on here?

its not really something to worry about. Some have 2-3 days then a break then 2-3 more, some only have 1. It is a healthy environment for sperm to live in so it might be a good thing.

oh! i didnt mean to sound like i was upset about this! :-)
im grateful for it actually but it just makes it harder to determine the day of O. esply when it comes nad gies thru outthe day. and fertility friend says to record the most fertile so it looks like i have ewcm for like 7-8 days! (even if i have sticky on the same day). just kind of frustrating i guess bc i have longer cycles and thus hard to pinpoint. i am trying to BD as close to O as possible (not until fall tho..still trying to study my cycles and charts). temping helps but still my temps are up and down...just a waiting game.

oh I understand. Hopefully with a few more charts under your belt you might be able to understand your CM pattern better

Semen does break down into a stringy EWCM look-a-like and a lot of women notice that and record it as EWCM. There are tests you can do about whether it floats or not but I honestly can't remember the rule and it's better just to record it as EWCM and deal with as longer O phase.

I sometimes have up to 7 days of ewcm but that usualy only happens when Im having trouble ovulating and I ovulate late (cd25-30).

yeah i know about the semen, but thats not the case. this is me testing without sex or sex with a condom.

i ovulate very late..i havce a long follicular phase i guess. last cycle was 36 days. so far im on day 30, waiting for AF. so maybe ppl with longcycles and Ovulate late have longer days of ewcm????
weird too bc there have been times when my dh and i would try to have sex and id be dry as a whistle but lately (now that im charting and scrutinizing, i always have SOMETHING whether its sticky or creamy thru out my entire cycle).strange.
