Alright, so I'm new to charting my bbt and i don't use one online..i just made my own and for the past 3 days my temp has been 97.31, 97.33, and today: 97.79?? I tested at the same time every day - 8 am. I'm 4DPO and I know that my ovulation date isn't changing because I usually ovulate 2 days after my first positive OPK (which happened on Apr 14th).

Basically, I just want to know what the heck is going on? What would cause such a high spike only 4DPO?

It would help out if we knew what your temps were before the day before your + opk through the first 97.31 because it could be that your body geared up to O when you normally would have, but didn't and now finally have yesterday and that is why you had a temp spike yesterday and not on the 16th. It's perfectly normal to have that happen. I normally ovulate between cd 10 and 12 and this cycle I ovulated on cd 15.

i agree with the pp, it is hard to understand without knowing or seeing all the temps
