Sorry this seems like a dumb question...but
I am vaginally temping and I'm confused on exactly how to use my BD thermomter.

Do I stick the thermometer IN my vagina first and then turn the thermometer on OR
do I turn it on wait for the flashing F ( function check) and then stick it in?

The reason I'm asking is because sometimes I'll turn it on and it will take me like 10 seconds to put in the thermometer vaginally and I'm afraid it's reading this outside time as part of my temp giving me low temps.

What do you guys do when temping vaginally?

i *think* that a thermometer only shuts off after a certain number of seconds being at the same temperature. If you are worried then try turning it on after it is in, if I were you I would stick with one method and just go with it

I have been turning it on and then putting it in. But I think next cycle I'll turn it on after it's in and see if my temp coverline is higher, I could be getting low temps from the outside temp before inserting it.
