Hello!
I'm Molly, and I'm new to the "Fertility Charting" forum. I have been posting in "Am I Pregnant" for a few months, but figure that now it's time to start charting and really figure things out.
My DH and I have two girls, ages 4.5 and 3. We had such an easy time conceiving them both. Now, we're becoming more and more relaxed about birth control, and to be honest, I'm surprised I haven't gotten pregnant again yet. Makes me wonder what's up with my cycles. Everything seemed to change after I had a Mirena IUD placed (and then subsequently removed). Blah.
So, here we are, negotiating the possibility of TTC our third. In the meantime, I'm on my first cycle of charting and trying to figure out if I'm ovulating or not. Was wondering if someone could take a look at my chart so far and give me general feedback? My cycles are typically 23-25 days in length, so I'm taking 100mg of B6 in an attempt to lengthen my luteal phase, just in case it's short. I almost wonder I'm having anovulatory cycles - my temp seemed to rise, I had EWCM, and then it fell again almost right away... Hmm...
Without further ado:
My Ovulation Chart
Thank you!

Hey and welcome!!
It looks like you may have O'ed on CD13... Keep tracking your temps and if you have another high one tomorrow, I bet ff will place your crosshairs! But I am still pretty new to this so don't take my word.
Good luck and hope you guys get your bfp soon!!

I would say you either o'ed cd 13 or haven't o'ed yet. But you're not late! Not everyone o's on cd 14 like the textbooks like to tell us. Just keep watching your temps! I know some ladies like TCOYF better for online charting. You could do that one, too, and see what it says.

I don't think you've O'd yet, I don't really see a thermal shift that indicates O. If you put in a couple more high'ish temps, does FF give you CH's? You did have a nice dip which does happen for some people right before O. I think you'll get more answers in the next couple days depending what your temps are.
When I was first learning I searched through FF's chart gallery just to see what people's thermal shifts looked like, when people got CH's, what their temps were, etc. It helped a lot to see examples!
Have you considered trying OPK's? That would give you another way to measure ovulation on top of temping

Hello, it doesn't look like you have ovulated yet. If you typically have a 23-25 day cycle, you would have 7-9 days left for your luteal phase if you O'd today. That being said, it's a fresh cycle and you're taking the b6, so hopefully that will mean a luteal phase change for you. Hope you O and get preggo!

Thank you so much for looking at my chart, everyone! I appreciate it, and the welcome. I'm super confused by things right now - since I posted a few days ago, I still don't think I've o'd. Strange... Anyway, I'll keep watching/waiting. I have not used OPK's before, but perhaps I should try them out as another means to figure this all out. Any brand preferences?

I agree! I also don't think I've o'd; and, I started the b6 1/3 of the way through last cycle, at 50mg, then upped my dose to 100mg 2/3 the way through. Maybe I just hadn't been on it long enough for it to make a difference, because my cycle was 25 days (though I technically don't know when I o'd last cycle either).
It's possible I'm anovulatory, right? That would suck, but I just feel like that's what's up... Ugh.
Thanks again everyone!

It could be, yes. That's the great thing about charting, you really get an idea of what is going on. Good luck, hopefully you will just O late this cycle. That's what happened to me this one... You just never know. lol.

You should think about switching to a Bcomplex since all the B vitamins are needed, not just B6. Anyway, I take Bcomplex 100 and it never helped my cycles.
Did you take hormonal birth control after your last child?

Thanks all...
Jamie - Yes, there was a brief period (3 months) that I took BCP's between the birth of my last child and now. However, that 3 months was over a year ago. Also, I had a Mirena IUD for 8-9 months (that's what screwed EVERYthing up). But I've been without any birth control for nearly a year.

You may just O late this cycle.... I usually had a very regular, 30-31 day cycle and this last one was my first to chart and, go figure, I didn't O until CD24 and AF came a week late! I think it was because I was thinking about it so much, the "stress" from that made me O late. Good luck and keep charting!

Crazy what our bodies do!
FF keeps changing my O date based on data I input, so who really knows at this point. I'm thinking OPK's may be the way to go... Maybe I'll give it one more cycle to see if it becomes obviously clear, and if not, go with OPK's. Based on previous cycles, AF is due any day now, so we shall see. I'm certain I'm not pregnant, so this'll be a good time to tell if the b6 has helped to lengthen my luteal phase.
Thanks again!
