Hi everyone, just popping in with a quick question. I have charted since I tried to concieve DS in 2007. I am now faced in an unfortunate and unforeseen position of trying again after my first miscarriage

I know that my temps are going to be erratic and more than likely my cycle will be delayed along with other irregular things but I am confused on what is considered CD1?

I've read some places to count CD1 as your first day of bleeding, others say once HCG is 0 and many say you can't chart until your first AF?

Does anyone have any insight on this? I'm not resuming charting for TTC purposes just yet. I would like to see a pattern develop so we can begin in the next few cycles though.

Thanks in advance!

I am so sorry for your loss. When I had my m/c, I counted the first day of bleeding as CD1 and started charting my temps right after. My temps actually weren't that erratic and I was able to confirm O almost 3 weeks after my m/c. I think it's a good idea to chart during that cycle since there are so many wacky things our bodies can do after a loss. It helps get a handle on what's going on. Keep in mind that not everyone ovulates in their m/c cycle...some just get AF. Good luck! I hope your body gets right back on track for you!
