Hi all! I have a (dumb) question, lol.

So I went off the pill almost two weeks ago, had a withdrawl period (as I like to call it) a week ago and since then I've been tracking my BBT. So far my temps are pretty normal, by what I've seen online while doing some research, with a bit of a fluctuation because it's really hard for me to take my temp at the same time everyday. I haven't experienced any significant dips or rises just yet as I'm only on CD9.

I checked my cervical position sometime last week shortly after my period ended and I remember it being low and a little hard. I remember being surprised by how easily my finger could reach it, but I didn't know what to do with that information so I didn't bother checking again. Except today, I decided to have a poke around and see where I'm at, and it's risen! It was harder for me to reach and it's softer. This is a good sign, right? I'm only asking because I'm "flying blind" after having just come off the pill. This means that my own estrogen is working and prepping me for ovulation? Also, when I checked last week there was no CM, it just came away clear, but today there was a small amount of white chunky CM that came off on my finger. I want to get excited that my body is becoming fertile again on its own, but at the same time I don't want to blow this all out of proportion. What do you think?

From what I understand, yes...when your cervix goes higher and softer, you are closer to ovulation. Your CM sounds like it is in the sticky stage. It should turn to creamy, then watery, and then egg-white which is the most fertile.

Good luck!!!

cervical position has become the easiest way for me to track my cycles. I would check frequently this cycle and try to figure out what your "normal" is. I know my cervix doesn't "play by the rules", but i learned what to look for with my body, and now it's really easy.
