Ok, so I am 5 dpo and the last 3 days my temp has been 97.4, should it be steadily rising more? Or does that occur more after implantation?
Also, I am wondering how accurate my temps have been. I've now started temping twice in a row, right away when waking up. First temp was 97.2, second 97.4, third one was 97.4. Would you chart 97.4 or 97.2? TIA for the help ladies!

I wouldn't worry about the flat temps unless you try temping in the middle of the day and it also says 97.4, which would indicate that you may want to buy a new thermometer. Also, I would use the first temp you got. Since they are so close, I don't think it really matters that much though, especially right now at 5 DPO.

First, unless you have a faulty thermometer then don't worry about flat temps, or even kinda low post-O temps - if you're not spotting/have a short LP then it's fine and there are plenty of charts in the FF gallery that will have those kinds patterns with a bfp

Second, your temp will start to rise from when you wake - even if you lay there doing nothing, it WILL start to rise. So, in the interests of being as accurate as you can, use the first temp upon waking. I know it's really tempting to put in a temp that makes your chart look prettier but you're either pregnant or you're not - fudging the temps doesn't actually alter that!

Lots of good luck for this cycle!

the others ladies gave great advice. first temp before getting out of bed and you are looking for the overall trend of temps over your coverline. having a few days of the same temp is ok
