I am new here to the site and am hoping to make this a "home" for as long as it takes!
I have been actively TTC for 5 months now but SO works away for a month at a time...so we've had 3 true cycles. So far I've been using an app on my iPhone to figure out when I O but now if AF arrives, I'm going to take control and start charting next cycle as I turn 36 in 2 weeks and don't haev time to mess around! By my count I am 2dpo (O? wednesday). So I'm in the 2WW now.
I know I need to get a BBT but what type of charting are most women using? I have a great app on my phone that will keep track of my BBT and charts...can I use that and still post it on JM? Do I enter it all here and then hope that all of you that know how to actually READ them will help me make sense of it all?
Any help you can offer will be sooo greatly appreciated!!
Hi and welcome. I am carrie the host of the board.
If you dont get you BFP this cycle, starting on CD1 begin taking your temp at the same time every day (set an alarm) BEFORE you get out of bed. You can buy a BBT but really any digital thermometer that reads to 1 decimal place is good. that is all i have and I have 2 kids by charting.
Its your choice how to track your chart. If the app works for you thats great but you wont be able to share it here. Most ladies use fertilityfriend.com
Hi and welcome!! Hopefully you won't have to start charting, but if you do it is a great way to see what is going on with your body. You will be amazed with how much you learn! I use Fertility Friend and have found it to be really useful. I agree with everything Carrie said. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. JM is a WONDERFUL site and full of amazing women who are here to support you and cheer you on.
I totally get the age thing. I am 37 and really feeling the time crunch...but it will happen!!
