Hi Ladies!!
I'm on my second cycle temping, the first one being annovulatory right after my m/c. I've never charted or worried about anything before, but prior to my pregnancy I had a pretty regular 25 day cycle. So the first one post loss was 29 days and several times my body acted like it was gonna O (lots of EWCM at different points) but temps and OPKs said there was no O and AF returned after 29 days. I meant to temp vaginally this time, but started orally and so I'll have to do that next go round... if I have to. My temps have been kind of all over the place. I've been pretty careful about temping at the same time every morning and I always do it right after I wake up, while I'm still in bed. I wake up pretty frequently during the night so I think that affects them some.
So this morning (CD 13) I had a HUGE dip... even with all of my variance I stay within a few hundredths of 97. This morning it was 96.08! That's the lowest it's ever been (since I've been tracking) by a half a whole degree! I missed everything yesterday because of what was going on... so no temp and no OPK from yesterday. But everything was fairly normal this morning....
I know some people get dips when they O, but is there any other reason for a huge dip like that? Grrr I hate not understanding what's happening with my body and I just wanna be pregnant!!
Thanks for reading my rambling...

I'm new to charting too, so I can't really offer much insight, but I have heard that there is a small group of women who have a temperature drop instead of a rise. Maybe you're one of those? I'd wait to see what your temps do the next couple of days, which I know is difficult!

Is there any chance you could have slept with your mouth open?

I suppose so... I have no idea though and DB couldn't tell me. I do snore occasionally, another thing that I thought might cause some of my ups and downs... But there wasn't anything different or unusual about last night. In fact it seemed like a perfectly ordinary and average night for me. I woke up when my alarm went off and stuck the BBT in my mouth! I know that I got at least two uninterrupted hours of sleep before I temped...
Hmmm.... guess I'll see what happens tomorrow! I didn't get to use an OPK yesterday and I'm having tons of CM today. Who knows...

I'm one of those who usually sees a big drop the day I O.
I know it's really hard to relax but try! You need to bear in mind that you are post-mc and for some women it can take a few months for their hormones to straighten out properly. Multiple patches of ewcm with no O seems to be quite common in the first cycle after a miscarriage in all my reading.
As you are new to temping, we don't yet know if you're going to be a 'dipper' with O (it's good if you are - an extra heads up never hurts!) but I really hope you are!
Good luck.

Thanks ladies!!
Back up to the "normal" range today... lots of EWCM yesterday and so far today so I suppose it's a possibility that I O'd.... not too worried about it cuz there's tons of BDing happening. Just trying to understand what's going on! We'll just see what tomorrow brings!

Hi Becky!! I wouldn't worry about it at all. There are a ton of factors that could affect your temps and produce that dip. I really hope that it indicates ovulation for you. I totally agree that a miscarriage can make things wacky for a while. It totally sucks and can be incredibly frustrating. Good luck!!!

You definitely have not O'd yet, but the EWCM implies that you might soon. Good luck!

I'm sorry!! I totally understand how frustrating this is for you. It definitely looks like you'll O soon. Sometimes I feel like waiting to O is harder than the 2ww.

THIS!
Because I always O 'late' around CD20, I have a 3ww to just get to O which is infinitely more frustrating than waiting for the 2ww to be over... waiting to be proactive leaves me feeling antsy, whilst waiting to see an outcome is easier, because it's out of your hands.
So you're not alone in your frustration.
But, hey, as I said, be kind to yourself (and your body). It probably needs a little time to straighten itself out.
GOOD LUCK!
