Can someone please look at my chart and tell me your opinion, as far as fertility friend indicates, my possible ovulation day is the 31st, fertile days 28-31. My AF was from 17-19.
I'm afraid I will miss my true ovulation day as we want to dd that day for a possible boy outcome. Should I go get opk right now or tomorrow? Would that help?

If FF thinks you may O on the 31st, then I'd start taking OPK's today and keep testing them every day until you get your +. I would also start DTD every other day just in case. I don't know much about swaying for a boy and I'm not sure how accurate it is but you definitely don't want to wait too long to start DTD. Good luck!!

Well I started feeling the twinge kind of cramping when you ovulate. Felt that yesterday, so I ran and bought opk's. Just in case too we dtd yesterday morning.
This morning I took the opk but the positive line looks a little faint to me. I'm afraid to dtd too much bc that will give me a girl :-(but I'm worried that if I listen to FF alone and how my body was feeling yesterday , I might miss out completely.
Here's a pic of my OPK....what do you think?

Well, firstly, do NOT put too much faith into the gender sway - I think if you're trying to get pregnant you need to go in thinking that whilst you *might* be able to influence the sex of the baby slightly, you must go ahead knowing in your heart you'd be happy with either. DTD on the day of Ov is by no way a GUARANTEE you'll get a boy, so be prepared to have a girl. I guess I'm just saying it pains me when I see posts about gender disappointment - especially since my loss. All babies are a blessing.
With that in mind, your opk doesn't look quite positive yet. COuld be that you've taken it a little too late in which case you've O'd and dtd at the 'right' time... or could be that you're currently surging and will get your positive very soon.
I hope things turn out the way you want

I agree. Your OPK is not positive yet, but probably soon.
I also agree. The whole gender sway thing...yes, it might have a minute effect, but you're talking like 60-40 instead of 50-50 and probably not even that much.

Like I said this is our last baby so if I can add a 5% increase in possibility, it's worth doing. I'm putting all my cards in . But if we get a girl of course we will be happy. If someone isn't happy, they shouldn't have babies ;-) I'm just not having 10 to get the 1 boy lol I'm 35 now so I'm pushing it as it is.
Thanks girls for taking a look @ my opk. I'll keep testing this week and see what comes of it :-)

I agree with the others. It looks like it is almost positive but not quite. I'm curious to see what your OPK looks like today.

Oh wow! That is so much darker than the other one! It looks like part of the test line is as dark as the control line...is that how it looks in person too?

Yeah they look about the same darkness. Much darker than 2 days ago for sure. So my question is, when it is positive.....does that mean I ovulate today or is that a 24 hr window or how does that work?

If the test line is as dark or darker than the control line...which it appears to be, then you should be ovulating within 24 hours. I've read that ovulation can happen anywhere between 12 and 48 hours from your first positive OPK, but I think the norm is around 24 hours. Good luck!!!

Hubby came home from work and I told him we need to hold off 24 hours to dtd for his boy and he was bummed. He said he hates waiting and wishes we were already preggo. Aww!

Me too! I got another positive today and a dip in temps. So hopefully if I don't get the boy I'll get another girl :-)

Got my crosshairs!! Lol it's funny how we get excited about these little chart things.
My temp went down a bit. Is it supposed to stay up the whole 2ww for a BFP?
