Hey! I'm 100% new to this process.... I'm going to go and buy a basal body therm today and I was wondering if you ladies can help get me started?

I'm sure there will be instructions that come with it, but how do you guys use yours? Vaginally or orally? Do you have an alarm to enure its at the same time everyday? What do you do it you miss your time??

I also have anoth question... I know you're supposed to start charting on the first day of your period, however I haven't had a period since July after having my IUD removed. Someone suggested charting to see where my body was regarding ovulation and my next period.

Anyone have suggestiongs of when I should start? Should I wait around for AF or should I just start and see what happens?

I agree...go ahead and start now. It might be worth a call to your doctor to see what you might be able to do to encourage AF to show so you can start a fresh cycle too.

Yes, you will want to take your temp at the same time every day. If you wake up early or late, it won't make a huge difference in your chart as a whole.

a lot of people use fertilityfriend.com there is a lot of info there on how to start charting. I temp orally and set an alarm if you sleep in take it as soon as you can and record the time you took the temp.

I would wonder about seeing if you can jump start af somehow

AF actually showed yesterday! (I feel weird about how happy I am about that! lol)

I bought my therm yesterday, but forgot to put it by my bed last night so tmrw morn is going to be the first morning I temp! Yay!
