I know that in past cycles, if I had been drinking the night before my temp is usually higher the next day.

Last night I drank two glasses of wine and today my temp was high. I did however think maybe I ovulated on Wednesday so I was hoping my temp would be high, but then didn't think that the glasses of wine would affect it that much.

Even in the past when I had gone drinking the night before, my temp has never been this high in my history of temping so I'm thinking it's a sign that I did ovulate... I'm just not sure. Bad night to choose to drink some merlot

Any ideas?

I'd say the temp rise is a result of your O, and not the wine. If anything, I believe alcohol decreases your core body temperature.

So I would say congrats on Oing.

It will be slightly higher, but usually not above the coverline. When in doubt about temps, you can always consider the cervical mucus pattern to determine if ovulation occurred or not. Also, one temp isn't the most important thing - the overall pattern is the most important thing.

Thanks ladies I did still have an elevated temp today so I am very excited. I haven't ovulated in so long.
